I’ve lived and worked in Saudi Arabia for over 35 years. I initially worked for the University of Petroleum & Minerals in Dhahran and later for the Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO).
In the first year I lived there I discovered ‘Bayouni Coffee’. The Bayouni family has been in the coffee business as importer and roaster for generations and in Saudi Arabia since 1969.
It was love at first sip when I tasted the coffee!! In the 35+ years I have been drinking Bayouni coffee, it has been consistently excellent. This is the Arabica variety of coffee beans grown in the highlands of Ethiopia.
Over the years I always brought a kilo or two with me when I came back to the US on vacation. For everyone that drank the coffee, the most common comment has been, “I think that’s the best coffee I’ve ever tasted”.
Now that I’m back in the US, I wanted to provide an opportunity for people here to experience this great coffee at the peak of freshness. I import this fresh roasted coffee via regular air shipments so I can deliver coffee to your door fresh from the roaster.
Anyone that has lived in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia (including the many retired Aramco employees) will be familiar with Bayouni coffee. The others now have the opportunity to taste this truly excellent coffee.
